You could become a:

  • Midwife;
  • Registered Nurse
  • Nurse Educator and Researcher; or a
  • Nurse Manager

and find yourself working in:

In Australia, to become:

  • A midwife you need a bachelor degree in midwifery or a higher qualification, and to be registered/endorsed or licensed;
  • A registered nurse you need to have a bachelor degree or higher qualification, and to be registered or licensed.
  • A nurse educator and researcher you need a bachelor degree or higher qualification and at least five years relevant experience;
  • A nurse manager you need a bachelor degree or higher qualification, and to be registered or licensed. You may also need relevant experience and/or special on-the-job training.
