School of Nursing and Midwifery Awards Evening
All School of Nursing and Midwifery Alumni will be invited to attend the School of Nursing and Midwifery Awards Evening on 10 May as guests of Head of School, Professor Cathy Turner. The annual event is held in May each year. Falling between International Midwives’ and International Nurses’ Days, this occasion celebrates the successes of the School, its students, staff and Alumni. Further details will be provided in the coming months. It is a wonderful opportunity to get together with your former classmates and colleagues for a fun night out.
Don't Get Lost...
We are starting to get an increasing number of ‘bounce-backs’ from our newsletters as our Alumni move from country-to country, state-to- state or simply switch internet providers. Please remember to contact Susan at s.kellett@uq.edu.au or 07 3346 5269 with your new email address so you can stay in touch with the happenings at the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
Midwifery Alumni
Susannah Brady would like to thank all those Midwives who contacted the School with details of where they are working for accreditation purposes. Many sent short messages updating Susannah on the progress of their careers which she was thrilled to receive.

Nurse Practitioner e-cohort
The Nurse Practitioner e-cohort study is still available to our Nurse Practitioner alumni. This survey aims to examine the work choices of Nurse Practitioners in their early years of practice. UQ SONM Nurse Practitioners are invited to participate in this unique study after their first year of practice following graduation. So far the response from our Nurse Practitioners has been great and we thank them for their interest and participation in this important research.
