The School of Nursing and Midwifery merged with the School of Social Work & Human Services on January 1, 2015.

With a dedicated workforce of approximately 3500 staff, The Prince Charles Hospital provides health services to residents living in the northern suburbs of Brisbane and specialist services to the broader Queensland and northern New South Wales population.

The Prince Charles Hospital provides specialised services including heart and lung transplantation; adult cystic fibrosis; congenital heart disease and heart failure; complex cardiac care; general medical and general surgical services; acute geriatrics and rehabilitative medicine; palliative care; elective orthopaedic surgery; Aged, disability and residential services; and a comprehensive and integrated mental health service.

Students undertake the majority of their learning at a clinical school and attend lectures one day a week on campus at UQ.
